DESCRIPTION:As Los Angeles welcomes the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Holocaust Museum LA at The Goldrich Cultural Center’s groundbreaking exhibition, The Beautiful Game: The Untold Story, shines a light on a little-known history of Jewish life through the world’s most popular sport. Revealing how soccer became a space for belonging, resistance, survival, and renewal, the exhibition uncovers the stories of Jewish players, clubs, and communities whose influence helped shape the modern game while navigating antisemitism, displacement, and changing ideas of identity.\nInspired by the exhibition, this Institute for Curriculum Services (ICS) professional development workshop invites educators to explore Jewish American identity, history, and contributions through the universal language of sport.
