This lesson examines the Holocaust through the lens of children’s experiences, focusing on primary source documents that involve writing. Through reading the Bella Blitz letter, a notebook by Abram Cytryn, and excerpts from the Anne Frank diary, students learn that writing, organizing, telling, and documenting are forms of resistance.
