A Workshop on the Holocaust and Contemporary Genocide
The workshop includes a series of powerful learning experiences designed to deepen understanding of the Holocaust and genocide. Educator Hilary Levine introduces The 10 Stages of Genocide, offering a framework for teaching genocide awareness. Participants then explore Aron’s Story: A Virtual Museum Experience, complete with curriculum and resources that bring history to life. An in-person testimony by Alex Teplish provides a personal and moving account of survival. The program also features a timely session on Contemporary Antisemitism, led by Holocaust and antisemitism scholar Bob Verissimo. Finally, participants gain global perspective with an in-depth presentation on the Cambodian Genocide, connecting historical lessons to broader issues of human rights and justice.
