Bringing Testimony and Literature into the Classroom to Teach the Armenian Genocide
English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Ethnic Studies teachers, instructional coaches, and school administrators are invited to this day-long, meaningful workshop to deepen their understanding of the Armenian Genocide and best practices for contextualizing and humanizing this history in the classroom.
This engaging experience includes a hands-on exploration of multimedia resources that bring together testimony and literature of Armenian Genocide survivors to inspire students’ critical thinking, compassion, and agency.
A group of selected participants will be eligible to receive a $150 stipend upon successful completion of the day-long workshop and post-evaluation survey.
