Summer Institute Application

Thank you for your interest in the 2025 Summer Institute with the California Teachers Collaborative for Holocaust and Genocide Education, June 22 – 25, 2025, in Los Angeles! Please complete the application fields below so that we may learn a bit more about you and your interest.

SECTION 1—Eligibility Criteria

As a program of the California Department of Education, the CA Teachers Collaborative serves a statewide mission to enhance the teaching of the Holocaust and genocide in California schools. As such, we are prioritizing applicants who meet the specifications below. Please read the list below and confirm whether these specifications apply to you.

  1. Are you actively employed as a middle or high school teacher, instructional coach, or administrator within an accredited California school?
  2. Do you commit to implementing new curriculum materials produced by the California Collaborative with students in your class/school during the 2025 – 2026 school year?
  3. Are you available to attend the 2025 in-person Summer Institute—from 3:00pm on June 22 to 3:00pm on June 25, 2025, in Los Angeles (lodging will be provided at no cost and travel will be reimbursed)?
  4. Do you agree to participate in quarterly, online cohort meetings during the 2025 – 2026 academic year for continued networking, professional development, and implementation support?
  5. Do you commit to sharing the curriculum materials with 5 – 10 additional teachers in a professional learning session in 2025 – 2026?
