Students learn about Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and children’s art during the Holocaust. A precursor to modern art therapy, Friedl used her art to help children hold on to hope. This lesson enables them to explore how Friedl used art classes to foster self-expression and hope in the children living in the Terezin ghetto.
