Students examine Holocaust survivor testimonies and artifacts presented through TikTok and other social media platforms to explore the personal impact of the Holocaust while developing media literacy skills. Through a gallery walk, testimony analysis, discussion, and reflection activities, students evaluate survivor stories as primary sources, strengthen critical thinking and social media literacy, and consider how digital platforms can both spread misinformation and preserve historical memory. The lesson emphasizes empathy, responsible media consumption, and combating antisemitism and hate in online spaces.
