Using the story of Armenian botanist J.J. Manissadjian and the rare Tulipa sprengeri, students explore themes of resilience, remembrance, and cultural survival following the Armenian Genocide. After examining the purpose of memorials and learning about the experiences of genocide survivors, students design and create their own memorials to honor the victims, survivors, and descendants of the Armenian Genocide.
